I support clients through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, self-esteem concerns, exploring identity, managing stress, navigating people-pleasing habits, learning to set and maintain healthy boundaries, and life’s many transitions. I offer both in-person sessions and virtual sessions. I use SimplePractice, a secure, confidential, and HIPAA-compliant platform that helps streamline the therapy process, from scheduling and paperwork to telehealth sessions. It’s easy to use and mobile-friendly, so you can manage everything in one place. You can start by contacting me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. I’ll share a bit about how I work and my approach, and happily answer any questions you have about counseling, fees, or scheduling. Then, we’ll take some time to see if working together feels like the right fit for both of us. You can reach me through my contact page, by phone at (814) 325-1788, or by email at trutoyoucounseling@gmail.com.
Yes, I am currently in-network with the following insurance plans: Aetna, Cigna, Geisinger, Capital Blue Cross of Pennsylvania, Independence Blue Cross of Pennsylvania (Virtual National Network), Quest Behavioral Health, Carelon Behavioral Health, Health Savings Account (HSA), and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and New Jersey.
I partner with Headway, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform that simplifies insurance verification and billing for the plans I accept, making the process easier and smoother for clients.
My standard fee is $130 per session. If you're using insurance, your cost will depend on your specific plan, such as your copay or deductible.
If I’m not in-network with your insurance plan, I’m happy to provide a Superbill, which is an itemized receipt you can submit for possible partial reimbursement depending on your plan’s out-of-network coverage. In most cases, insurance will ask for a mental health diagnosis to process reimbursement.
I also offer a sliding fee scale based on income and keep a few reduced-fee spots open to help ensure cost isn’t a barrier to receiving care. If finances are a concern, I’m happy to talk with you about sliding scale options or payment plans.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you here. We’ll explore your goals and how I can support you. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what feels important.
You don’t need to prepare anything special, just come as you are. It’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions, such as nervousness, uncertainty, hope, or even relief. I’m here to support you through whatever you’re feeling. There’s no “right” way to do therapy; this is your space to go at your own pace.
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes. This gives us enough time to check in, discuss what’s on your mind, and work together on your goals.
Yes, confidentiality is very important in therapy. What we discuss stays between us, except in specific situations required by law to keep you and others safe. These include:

- If you provide written consent to release information
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions about confidentiality.
